This year's festival features hundreds of delicious beers from 35 breweries,
ranging from the palest of ales to the darkest of stouts. Come sample Pilsner,
Hefeweizen, IPA, Bock, Saison, Porter, Red Ale, Belgian, Imperial Stout, and more!

Rapture 7.7% American IPA.
Sass Mouth 7.0% A Belgian-inspired Saison. This rustic ale has a spicy flavor and a nice crisp bitterness. Fermented with yeast from Hill Farmstead. Thanks Shaun!
Heady Topper 8.0% An American Double IPA.
The Bobcat Café ★ Bristol, VT
Lincoln Lager  4.6% Thirst quenching, not overly bitter, this Bohemian Lager is reminiscent of the straw to golden colored pilsners you would find in the Weserbergland of Niedersachsen, Germany. Utilizing German malted barley, this medium bodied beer is balanced all around. Light bitterness of this lager is accredited to crisp Hallertauer varieties, with a floral aroma from the use of Hersbrucker & Celeia hops.

IPA 5.9% Our Flagship beer. This beer is floral, medium body with an aggressive, clean hop finish.
UFO Raspberry 4.8% UFO Raspberry has a distinctive, hazy rose color. The scent of fresh raspberries hits the nose immediately, along with a subtle bready aroma from the wheat and yeast.
UFO White 4.8% Light, crisp, refreshing this beer follows the tradition of spiced wheat beers that have been brewed in Belgium for well over 300 years. Brewed with orange peel and a unique blend of spices.
Cider 4.1% Harpoon Cider is made from a blend of locally grown apples including the New England favorite, McIntosh. This crisp, refreshing cider has just the right balance of ripe apple sweetness and tartness from the fruit's natural acidity. Without the addition of preservatives, artificial colors, or sweeteners we have created a cider that is fresh, pure, and delicious.
Belgian Pale Ale 5.8% Belgian Pale Ale has the spicy yeast characteristics of traditional Belgian beers along with an exceptional hop aroma and flavor.
Leviathan Imperial IPA 10.0% Leviathan Imperial IPA is brewed with tons of pale malt and just enough caramel malt to provide a sweet malt body to balance the hop intensity.
Leviathan Imperial Rye 8.9% Leviathan Imperial Rye will awaken your palate with the crisp bitterness of hops and the spicy sweetness of barley and rye.
100 Barrel Series Rich & Dan's Rye IPA 6.9% Rich and Dan owners of Harpoon Brewery brewed this beer together to celebrate 25 years of Harpoon and as a toast to you for making more than two decades of brewing craft beer in New England so great.

Fuggle is a distinctive hop variety which flavors this pale ale, and is one of the few varieties used in brewing today which your great great-grandparents might have enjoyed in their brews. A classic golden ale with a full, but not an overwhelming hop profile.

Dark Humour

Start with a traditional Belgian Wit beer, add some roasted barley, boost the mouthfeel and alcohol some and dose with coriander and cardamom to discover our species of the rare and secretive Black Wit. This slightly roasty, lightly hopped beer with plenty of the expected Belgian character will lead you down the spiced beer road less taken.

Whistling Pig Red Ale

Inspired by an Irish Classic. Garnet red in color and full bodied with a rounded malty flavor and lingering hop aftertaste. First brewed for the Whistling Pig Game Dinner held on Groundhog Day.

Jasper Murdock's Weizen

Jasper Murdock never was a big fan of bananas, so for this Weizen offering he instructed the brewer to skip the monkey juice. This cloudy, straw colored German wheat brew features a nice clove nose and a refreshing tangyness that works well together on a hot summer's day.

90 Schilling Pale Ale

6.65%

A full bodied dark amber ale brewed in the Scottish tradition, using Golden Promise pale malt and very little hops. For those who like their brew a little sweeter and a bit stronger, this smooth ale will hit the spot.

Lawson's Finest Liquids ★ Waitsfield, VT
Acer Quercus
9.5% A collaboration with The Bruery of Palcentia, CA, this brew combines VT maple syrup, CA date sugar, maple-wood smoked malt, malted and chocolate rye, flaked oats, two yeasts, and toasted oak cubes to yield a rich and complex dark ale. "Nanotacular!"
Triple Play IPA 6.5% A trio of hop varieties deliver a symphony of juicy tropical hop flavors, a wonderful bouquet of floral aromas, and just enough malt backbone to stand up to a triple punch of bitterness. Brewed and dry-hopped with Citra, Simcoe, and Centennial. "No batter beer!"
Liquid Sunshine Ale 5.5% Aromatic esters from a Belgian-style yeast combine with ripe fruitiness of American hops to yield a brew with a sip of summer sunshine in every glass!
Permagrin Rye Pale Ale 6.0% This crisp American ale is a dark amber color, with a nice spicy bite from the use of malted, crystal, and toasted flaked rye that will creep up and leave you smiling! A healthy dose of lupulins from Simcoe, Amarillo, Cascade and Centennial hops round out this beer.
Maple on Brett 8.8% Our wild Vermont maple ale is fermented with Brettanomyces bruxellensis wild yeast, imparting a savory twang and sour, horse blanket-like character. Aged one year! Friday night only.
Chinooker'd IPA CASK 6.9% Chockfull of Chinook hops and bursting with pine and citrus aromas and flavors. This hop-bomb is flavorful and bold with a dry finish. Double dry-hopped and cask conditioned. Saturday only.
Long Trail Brewing Company ★ Bridgewaters Corners, VT
Exclusive VBF Brew 10.0% Brewed specifically for the Vermont Brewers Festival, this brew features a blend of 2010 and 2011 Long Trail Triple Bag aged in an oak barrel with a secondary fermentation using a Lambic strain of yeast. This blend produced an extremely complex yet smooth tangy flavor.
Long Trail Ale 4.6% Long Trail Ale® is a full-bodied amber ale modeled after the “Alt-bier” of Düsseldorf, Germany. Our top fermenting yeast and cold finish temperatures result in a complex, yet clean, full flavor. Originally introduced in November 1989, Long Trail Ale® quickly became, and remains, the largest selling craft-brew in Vermont!
Blackberry Wheat 4.0% Light & refreshing with a hint of blackberry at the finish makes this beer a real thirst quencher! This brew combines Two-Row pilsen malt and of course plenty of malted wheat. For the health conscious Blackbeary Wheat® has less than 6 grams of carbs and contains 0 fat!
Belgian White 4.7% Our Belgian White is modeled after the original Belgian Witbiers brewed in monasteries during the early 14th century.  The soft notes of citrus and spice are topped with a light, fluffy head that finishes clean and crisp.
Traditional IPA 5.9% Real IPA, first brewed in the British Empire, was not the carefully filtered brew that we now call IPA.  The early IPA was unfiltered and featured extra hops and higher strength to act as a preservative for the long trip from England to the colony of India. Our “Traditional IPA” is naturally carbonated, dry-hopped and unfiltered just as in the early day of the British Empire!
Pale Ale 5.7% Long Trail Pale Ale is brewed with the finest, all natural ingredients and award winning Vermont water. This classic English style pale ale features a modest malt body and a well balanced citrus, pine hop aroma. Our Pale Ale is lightly filtered to provide a delightfully robust flavor experience.
Double IPA 8.6% Long Trail Double IPA offers true reward to those seeking intensely sensual hop flavor.  Double IPA is a full-flavored ale featuring a good male backbone combined with an aroma brimming with an aroma brimming with tantalizing citrus and pine notes. In search of inspiration within, the recipe is sourced from one of Long Trail’s own, hop-enthusiast home brewers!
Double Bag 7.2% This malty, full-bodied double-alt is also known as "Stickebier" – German slang for "secret brew." Double Bag® was originally offered only in our brewery taproom as a special treat to our visitors.

McNeill's Brewery ★ Brattleboro, VT
Sunshine IPA 7.0% Our big American IPA brings a clear amber honey brew to your  glass .  Next, a nice thick head that yields to lots of lace. A nose of citrus and fresh grass is quite pleasing. The mouth has lots of caramel up front then right into the Colombus hops—grapefruit and citrus.
Champ Ale 5.5%

An American Pale Ale that is great for the craft brew initiate as well as true aficionados. The nose is of a light hoppiness, some toffee, and fruity notes. This medium bodied brew has crisp carbonation and is extremely drinkable.

Reagin's Stout 5.2% The luck of the Irish is brought to you is this brew. An extra foreign stout that pours a jet black body with a thick mocha colored head that takes it’s sweet time settling down. Dry, dark chocolate nose with some vanilla notes lead you to a full bodied and deep mouth. We see that Irish sparkle in yer eye!
Dark Angel Imperial Stout 10.0%

Our full bodied imperial stout has a dark head and nice lacing sitting above the pitch black beer.  Our choice of malts yield smoke, tobacco, vanilla, and earth. The hops balance it off with spice, herbs, citrus and pine. A very full bodied brew that has rich roasted flavors and lingering spiciness.

Firehouse Amber Ale 5.0% Our flagship brew, this American Amber Ale gets it's name from the our original brewhouse. Brattleboro's historic firehouse is where we pour from today (and tonight!) and you can try these and more of our beers. A copper color with a nose of light hops- citrus and pine. The mouth has malty caramel, toast and the citrus hops.
Dead Horse IPA 5.7% A dark red copper IPA that has a nose filled with toasty grain and flowery pine. The mouth has orangey citrus flavor balanced with malt. Twenty years ago this was a very big beer. We feel that this horse continues to deliver big and be in the winner circle of craft brews.
Warlord Imperial IPA 8.5%  A grand daddy of IPA's, our Warlord is dark amber to garnet in color and will have a nice head. It has a a piney aroma with a light citrus background. The clean malt has a bit a of sweet up front that moves into grassy tones finishing with citrus.
Northshire Brewery ★ Bennington , VT
Equinox Pilsner 6.0% A craft brewed pilsner lager brewed with all malt and noble saaz hops. Low bitterness and a clean dry finish enhance the drinkability of this full flavored lager beer.
Battenkill Ale 5.7% A classic northern English style brown ale, brewed with caramel malts and imported hops. The low bitterness level leaves the beer with a mild malty flavor, a robust body, and excellent drinkability.
Northshire Chocolate Stout 6.0% A British style chocolate stout, brewed with chocolate malt, imported English malt and hops, with a secret chocolate addition.  Robust and full flavored with a balanced bitterness, chocolate character, and a delicious finish.
Otter Creek Brewing Co. ★ Middlebury,VT
Copper Ale 5.0% Copper Ale, Otter Creek’s flagship brew, is a medium bodied, amber ale inspired by the Altbiers of Northern Germany. Brewed with six different malts, three hop varieties and our special house yeast, Copper Ale is characterized by a well balanced blend of malty notes and mild bitterness.  This ale won gold at the 2009 US Beer Open and 2003 Great American Beer Festival, in the German-style Altbier category.
Black IPA 6.0% Dark in color and character, this unfiltered Black IPA exudes caramel and roasted notes while highlighting a bold hop bitterness and citrus aroma. Apollo, centennial, and citra hops intermingle with the deep complexities provided by copious amounts of caramel malts and de-husked roasted barley.
Stovepipe Porter 4.4% Brimming with dark roasted malt, Stovepipe Porter is a well-hopped ale with a rich palate, deep color and a slightly herbal aroma.  Delicious on its own, this traditional style also complements any hearty meal.
Otter Summer 4.3% Otter Summer is a crisp, clean, easy-drinking American Wheat beer.  Brewed with 2-row malted barley & malted red wheat and fermented with a clean American Ale yeast strain.  It is hopped with Cascade and Willamette hops for a subtle hop bitterness and flavor.
Twentieth Anniversary Ale 12.0% This ale is a bigger, bolder brew based on our classic Copper Ale recipe.  It features a blend of six malts with German & American hops and is a celebration of Otter Creek’s 20 years.

Ridge Runner 7.5% Mild Barley Wine. "Robust, Dark and Smooth, hold on to your hat cause you'll lose your feet on this one!" Brewed with pale, dark crystal, Munich, flaked barley, black and chocolate malts. Hops include Cascade, Crystal, Challenger and Perle.

Switchback Ale 5.0% Using only traditional ingredients, Switchback Ale is a reddish-amber ale which is particularly well-balanced, allowing for complexity of flavor coupled with an unusually smooth and refreshing character. Five different malts, select hop varieties, and our own specially cultivated yeast create an ale which leads with hop flavors and a subtle impression of fruit (our yeast’s contribution), followed by a palate-pleasing malty finish. Our own special process uses the yeast to naturally carbonate the beer, and we leave it unfiltered. The result is a satisfying brew full of flavor with a remarkably clean and smooth finish.
Roasted Red Ale 5.6% Switchback’s Roasted Red Ale is a deep mahogany red colored ale. Unfiltered and naturally carbonated, this ale uses a combination of caramel and roasted malts and specially selected hops to create a beer with a flavor that leads with a rich malty sweetness balanced with a bold hop signature, followed by a luscious chocolate/cocoa roasty finish.
Slow-Fermented Brown Ale 5.2% The newest offering from Switchback Brewing Company, Slow-Fermented Brown Ale is a beautiful chestnut brown colored beer. It is fermented at an unusually cool temperature which slows down the fermentation. These conditions stress the yeast, resulting in a slow methodical fermentation in which the resultant flavors are clean, somewhat like a lager, with the added characteristic of a creamy smooth mouthfeel. This brown ale has a rich roast caramel flavor, with a subtle sweetness in the finish, delicately balanced with hop undertones.

Black Pepper Porter 4.8% A rich, robust porter finished with a hint of fresh ground black pepper in the boil and again in the fermentation process.
Waits River Red Ale 5.5% West coast style hoppy red ale with a nice malt backbone. Bittered with cluster and cascade hops with several cascade additions.

Purple Haze 6.0% Light, refreshing strong biere! Over 200 lbs. of blackberries in a seven-barrel batch, sour mashed and oak aged. Greg and Jimi would both approve of the unusual pectin cloudiness.
Tulach Leis 6.0% A Flemish Style Vermont Sour Red Ale fermented with brettanomyces yeast providing slight tartness with barnyard aromas and flavors. Brewed in honor of the memory of Greg Noonan.
Chocolate Doctor 5.0% A full bodied stout with espresso notes. Hints of dark chocolate envelop its creamy texture.

Wolaver's India Pale Ale

A robust India Pale Ale.  Radiates with a generous amount of hops yielding a floral aroma delicately spiced with Magnum, Fuggles, and Centennial hops and balanced by the slightly sweet Munich and caramel malts.

Wolaver's Oatmeal Stout 5.4%

Brimming with darkly roasted malts, this rich and creamy stout features hints of coffee and chocolate, the addition of Vermont grown organic oats adds to the unfiltered, full bodied experience.

Wolaver's Brown Ale 5.5%

Deep amber ale with a rich and smooth flavor.  Malty undertones of vanilla and caramel are kept in check with the addition of Magnum, Fuggles, and Golding hops.

Wildflower Wheat is a delicious unfiltered wheat ale brewed with organic chamomile flowers and a hint of pure organic Vermont honey.

Lost Sailor India Pale Ale 5.5% A classic British-inspired IPA, Lost Sailor keeps an even keel with a well rounded malt profile to support generous dry-hopping with the time-honored Goldings hop variety. Drayman's Porter 6.2% A full-bodied, dark ruby-brown ale, Drayman's Porter is slightly sweet with notes of chocolate malt and coffee married to a delicate hop bitterness and flavor. Berkshire Traditional Pale Ale 6.3% A traditional pale ale, deep copper in color, Berkshire Ale has a rich malt profile from pale, caramel and crystal malts supporting a generous helping of American and British hop varieties. Defiant Muddy Creek Lager 5.6% Named after the brewery's hometown (before someone found a Pearl in the River and changed it), this lager has an amber color that yields to a malty body. The nose is welcoming with notes of biscuit and caramel-like sweetness. The first sip reveals a toasted malt flavor balanced with a lighter body of subtle floral notes. The beer continues with a classic German hop flavor that allows the beer to finish pleasantly dry and keep your taste buds yearning for more.
Defiant Medusa IPA 6.5% This monstrous IPA is packed with a frightening amount of hops from three countries; USA, Germany and England. Look for a delicate malt character up front with an inviting floral citrus-like aroma. The bitterness is pleasant with a slight woody yet balanced finish. Please refrain from looking directly into the glass.
Defiant Belgian Style Tripel 9.0% Brewed in the Belgian tradition, this classic style begins with Moravian barley and a blend of special imported hops. When poured the color is light and golden with a soft white head that forms from the natural carbonation created by carefully cellaring this bottle-conditioned ale. The aroma is inviting with warm, estery fruit notes reminiscent of coconut and banana laced with a light note of Belgium candi sugar that greets you as you enjoy the first sip. The body is light yet substantial as it carries the flavor from the nose to the tongue while finishing slightly drier with a pleasant peppery spice finish.

Jack Wallace Maple Brown Ale 6.3% A slightly sweet brown ale brewed entirely with maple sap and Cascade hops.
Pleasant Lake Pilsner 5.5% Brewed with a traditional German Lager yeast, German grain and "Spalt" and "Tettnang" noble hops.
Saison de l'oie de vol 5.6% French Farmhouse-Style Saison brewed with aged Pride of Ringwood hops, and a touch of curacao.

High Peaks Hefeweizen 5.5% Our German-style Hefeweizen is brewed with authentic Weihenstephan yeast and features fruity esters, a touch of clove spiciness, and a cloudy, olden appearance. It's a perfect comliment to sunny, summer days and cool, Adirondack nights.  Here's to summer!

Peak Organic Brewing Co. ★ Portland , ME
IPA 7.2% This unique India Pale Ale features our favorite hops—Simcoe dry hop provide for an assertive, hop-forward nose and front palate. We don’t use traditional bittering hops in our IPA, providing nothing but stimulating citrus and floral characteristics.
Pomegranate Wheat 5.0%

Peak Pomegranate Wheat is a refreshing, yet intricate ale brewed with locally grown organic wheat, organic coriander and a touch of organic Pomegranate and Acai juice from our friends at Sambazon. Not as sweet as many fruit beers, the Pomegranate Wheat has a soft, round mouthfeel from the local, un-malted wheat. The spice from the coriander and the subtle sweetness from the Pomegranate and Açai are a perfect complement.

Espresso Amber 6.9% A robust amber ale brewed with locally roasted, organic fair trade espresso with help from our friends down the street at Coffee by Design. This malty amber ale is brewed with substantial amounts of Munich Malt, providing a perfect backbone for the rich, roasty flavor imparted by the espresso. Peak Espresso Amber is the first Fair Trade Certified beer brewed in the United States.
Hop Noir 8.6% Hop Noir is a delectable Black IPA, dripping with piney, aromatic Centennial hops. The malt base is dark and rich, anchored by organic black malt. This provides a strong foundation for the extravagant kettle hopping and dry-hopping that this beer experiences.
Portsmouth Brewery ★ Portsmouth, NH
Biere de Miele 7.1% This French style Saison is brewed with honey to impart a sweet touch to the peppery character of the yeast.
Ginga Ninja 6.5% A new addition to the Portsmouth brewery line-up. This is a red IPA with the addition of late kettle ginger to add a spiciness not affiliated with hops.
Dirty Blonde 4.5% This golden ale has a light body and an appealing crisp finish. A good summertime ale.
Wit 5.0% Brewed with wheat and unmalted wheat to create the "white” color. The traditional use of sweet and bitter orange peel and coriander create spiciness that is subtle and unique.
JOS (Oatmeal Stout) 4.5% A summer version of our Oatmeal stout brewed with our German friend Jurgen Burlman of the Weyermann malting company. This "summer" version of oatmeal stout excludes to use of roasted barley and neither black nor chocolate malt. Some unique German malts make up the dark color and some flaked oats add to supple texture. Only available on cask starting on the Saturday afternoon session.

Champion Reserve India Pale Ale 5.0% An intensely bitter and hoppy ale.
