Volunteers are essential to the safe and enjoyable operations of the Vermont Brewers Festival. As a volunteer you are you are an important member of the festival team and act as a representative of our organization to the festival attendees.
For a better understanding of what you can expect as a volunteer and what is expected of you, we ask you to read and agree to this Volunteer Pledge.
As a Vermont Brewers Festival volunteer, you will receive:
- Free admission to one tasting session (with $5 charge for tasting glass)
- Free volunteer T-shirt
- An opportunity to make new friends and network with the region's best brewers
As a Vermont Brewers Festival volunteer, you will be assigned a specific volunteer shift and duties. In addition to the responsibilities pertaining to your volunteer assignment, all Vermont Brewers Festival volunteers must adhere to the code of conduct detailed below. By Vermont Law tasting beers during your volunteer shift is strictly forbidden.
As a Vermont Brewers Festival volunteer, I agree to:
- Show up for my assigned volunteer shift (sign in is at Gate 3 one hour before opening time)
- Report to my assigned area after sign in
- Remain in my assigned role during the entire shift (with the exception of meal and bathroom breaks), unless otherwise advised by festival staff
- Conduct myself in a respectful, ethical, and appropriate manner at all times while dealing with Vermont Brewers Festival staff, volunteers, brewers, and attendees
Additionally, I agree to hold harmless Vermont Brewers Association and festival organizers from any and all claims, actions, or damage relating to or arising out of any activity related to volunteering for the Vermont Brewers Festival. I assume full responsibility for any and all claims and costs arising directly or indirectly out of activities, acts, or omissions while volunteering for the Vermont Brewers Festival. |
